“Take Your Cat And Leave My Sweater” WRONG!
Author: admin // Category: UncategorizedSo apparently the girl who found herself in someone else-s arms and inspired Keith Urban-s song “You-ll Think Of Me’ didn-t have a cat. Or if she did have a cat, Keith did not want her to take it with her when she took her records, freedom, and memories that he didn-t need.
He just wanted her to take her cap, but he still wanted her to leave his sweater.
That-s right, the line that so many of us have sang as “take your cat and leave my sweater, we have nothing left to weather’ is actually, “take your CAP and leave my sweater’ Makes sense, right?
So to get this straight, this girl cheated on Keith and left him broken hearted. Keith has thoughts of her keeping him awake and wants her to come get her baggage so he can move on. He knows she will eventually think of him and want him back, but he will have moved on with his life by then. Oh, and he wants her to take her cap, not her cat.
So the next time you hear this oldie but goody from your favorite Australian country star and you start to sing along, remember Keith wanted to keep the cat. Wonder how Nicole feels about caring for Keith-s exes cat?
