To some people, it’s ironic that Bob Dylan is considered one of the greatest lyricists of all time. Even those who love Dylan, and there are millions of people out there, have to admit that he’s not always the clearest, cleanest singer out there. You need look no further then Dylan’s recent performance of “Maggie’s Farm” at the 2011 Grammy Awards as evidence of what people mean. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was on the Iron Butterfly album entitled “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”, released in 1968. The song covered the entire flip side of the album, mostly with instrumentals. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida played for over seventeen minutes in its entirety. The single of the song held the number 30 spot on the U.S. Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
There are three various versions of how the song got its name. The original title was “In The Garden of Eden”, however through a mishap, the song received the name it is now known by.

Su-Su -Sudio….What is Phil Collins talking about in that song? I’ve been a Phil Collins fan for quite a long time and have heard most of his music. Although I have not followed his personal life very closely, I would have to guess that “Sussudio” was a former lover. Singing the line “Su-Su-Sudio” is just for musical rhythm or emphasis, adding an extra syllable for beat like some singers have sung “Ba-ba-baby”. That would be my explanation.
